Hi and welcome to Sarah's Yoga......
I am passionate about Yoga and its benefits - physically, emotionally and spiritually,
and want to encourage as many people as possible to experience Yoga.
I have always had an interest in yoga but came to it wholeheartly after having a major operation.
I wanted a practice that would mend me physically and spiritually. I had one to one lessons to begin with then
went on to enrol with a class. I joined the Bristish Wheel of Yoga and to deepen my practice took the Foundation
Course. I so enjoyed that and decided that I wanted to encourage others to experience yoga. I took up the challenge
and completed the two and half years training to achieve the British Wheel of Yoga teaching diploma.
This website is a one way of explaining and giving an insight of how Yoga can benefit us
all whatever our size, age and ability. (As you can see from my photos, I am not in my first flush of youth or a size 10!!).
I believe that we all have the opportunity to learn throughout our lives. I like to think that Yoga is taking me on a journey
and would like to share with you my path of learning, experience and knowledge so far.
I live in Devon near Dartmoor and love taking Yoga out to small communities and
choose to teach mainly in village halls - currently in Sticklepath near Okehampton about 20 mins from Exeter
and in Okehampton Community College.
I am available to teach on a one to one basis in your home. Another way of joining
in - is to come and stay on one of the Yoga weekend breaks held in a beautiful part of Devon (next one
in Nov 2009). My teaching style is one of fun, with practical tips and is definitely non-competitive.
Namaste
